A. 
No person shall advertise, conduct, hold, carry on, or permit any home, garage, patio, yard or rummage sale on the grounds of or within any dwelling within the Village of Indian Point without a permit.
B. 
Such permit, issued by the Village Clerk, shall set forth, in writing, the name of the person holding or conducting such sale, the location of the sale and the date such sale is to be held.
C. 
No permit shall be issued by the Village to any person more often than once every sixty (60) days and shall be subject to the limitations provided in this Chapter; provided, however, that schools, churches and bona fide nonprofit organizations may carry on rummage sales with no restrictions as to number of or duration of the sales if the sale is held on school or church property.

A. 
No person shall advertise, conduct, hold, carry on or permit any home, garage, patio, yard or rummage sale on the grounds of or within any dwelling within the Village more than three (3) times in any one (1) calendar year.
B. 
No person shall advertise, conduct, hold, carry on or permit any home, garage, patio, yard or rummage sale which lasts more than four (4) consecutive days.

A. 
Signs shall not be placed or located so as to pose a safety hazard to the public.
B. 
Signs shall not be placed on utility poles, traffic signs, traffic sign posts, guard rails or attached in any way to any living plant such as a tree, vine or bush.
C. 
Signs shall be posted only for the duration of permitted garage sale.
D. 
Signs shall be removed at the closure of permitted garage sale.

The Village Clerk shall issue a permit to applicants who are in compliance with this Chapter upon payment of an administrative fee of one dollar ($1.00) for each day the sale is to be held.

Any person who shall conduct, hold, carry on or permit any home, garage, patio, yard or rummage sale which does not have a timely and valid permit issued by the Village shall pay a penalty of fifty dollars ($50.00) for each day the sale is conducted, held, or carried on without said timely and valid permit.
