The 26th Judicial Circuit Court of Morgan County, Missouri, is hereby designated as the Municipal Court of Laurie, Missouri.

Editor's Note: Former Chapter 125, Municipal Court, containing Sections 125.010 through 125.300 was repealed and replaced when the City dissolved its local Municipal Court and chose to use the 26th Circuit Court for its municipal violation cases.

Laurie shall transfer all of its records concerning the Laurie Municipal Court in a timely manner, and the court shall be established in Versailles, Missouri, at the Morgan County Circuit Courthouse, effective November 28, 2017.

It shall be the duty of an attorney designated by the City to prosecute the violations of the City's ordinances before the 26th Circuit Court Judge of Morgan County, Missouri, hearing violations of the City's ordinances. The salary or fees of the attorney and his/her necessary expenses incurred in such prosecutions shall be paid by the City. The compensation of such attorney shall not be contingent upon the number of cases tried, the number of guilty verdicts reached, or the amount of fines imposed or collected.
