That certain document, one (1) copy of which is on file in the
office of the City Clerk and the City of Laurie, being marked and
designated as International Plumbing Code, 2000 Edition,
including Appendix Chapters B through G, as published by the International
Code Council be and is hereby adopted as the code of the City of Laurie,
for regulating the design, construction, quality of materials, erection,
installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement,
addition to, use or maintenance of plumbing systems in the City of
Laurie and providing for the issuance of permits and collection of
fees therefor; and each and all the regulations, provisions, conditions
and terms of such International Plumbing Code, 2000
Edition, published by the International Code Council on file in the
office of the City of Laurie are hereby referred to, adopted and made
a part hereof as if fully set out in this Article.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this Article or
of the Code adopted in this Article shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in an amount not exceeding
five hundred dollars ($500.00) or be imprisoned in the City or County
Jail for a period of not exceeding three (3) months, or both such
fine and imprisonment. Each day such violation is committed or permitted
to continue shall constitute a separate offense and shall be punishable
as such hereunder.
