All City elections shall be conducted and held in conformance with the provisions of Chapter 115, RSMo.
A. 
A municipal election for the qualified voters of this City shall be held on the first (1st) Tuesday after the first (1st) Monday in April of each year.
B. 
On the first (1st) Tuesday after the first (1st) Monday in April of even-numbered years, a municipal election of the qualified voters of the City of Oak Grove shall be held for the purpose of electing a Mayor who shall hold his/her office for a term of two (2) years and until his/her successor is elected and qualified.
C. 
On the first (1st) Tuesday after the first (1st) Monday in April of odd-numbered years, a municipal election of the qualified voters of the City of Oak Grove shall be held for the purpose of electing one (1) Alderman from each ward who shall hold his/her office for a term of two (2) years and until his/her successor is elected and qualified.
D. 
On the first (1st) Tuesday after the first (1st) Monday in April of even-numbered years, a municipal election of the qualified voters of the City of Oak Grove shall be held for the purpose of electing one (1) Alderman from each ward who shall hold his/her office for a term of two (2) years and until his/her successor is elected and qualified.
E. 
On the first (1st) Tuesday after the first (1st) Monday in April of even-numbered years, a municipal election of the qualified voters of the City of Oak Grove shall be held for the purpose of electing a Collector who shall hold his/her office for a term of two (2) years and until his/her successor is elected and qualified.

Any person who desires to become a candidate for an elective City office at the general City election shall file with the City Clerk, not prior to the hour of 8:00 A.M., on the seventeenth (17th) Tuesday prior to, nor later than 5:00 P.M., on the fourteenth (14th) Tuesday prior to the next City municipal election, a written declaration of his/her intent to become a candidate at said election. The City Clerk shall keep a permanent record of the names of the candidates, the offices for which they seek election, and the date of their filing, and their names shall appear on the ballots in that order.

The City Clerk shall, on or before the seventeenth (17th) Tuesday prior to any election at which City offices are to be filled by said election, notify the general public of the opening filing date, the office or offices to be filled, the proper place for filing, and the closing filing date of the election. Such notification may be accomplished by legal notice published in at least one (1) newspaper of general circulation in the City.

In City elections, the City Clerk shall notify the County Clerk prior to 5:00 P.M. on the tenth (10th) Tuesday prior to any City election except as noted in Section 115.125.1, RSMo. The notice shall be in writing, shall specify that the Board of Aldermen is calling the election, the purpose of the election, the date of the election, and shall include a certified copy of the legal notice to be published including the sample ballot. The written notice shall be executed on behalf of the Board of Aldermen by the Mayor of the Board and shall include the attestation of the City Clerk and shall have affixed thereto the Seal of the City of Oak Grove. The notice and any other information required by this Section may, with the prior notification to the election authority receiving the notice, be accepted by facsimile transmission prior to 5:00 P.M. on the tenth (10th) Tuesday prior to the election, provided that the original copy of the notice and a certified copy of the legal notice to be published shall be received in the office of the election authority within three (3) business days from the date of the facsimile transmission.

The Board of Aldermen hereby redraws the ward boundaries of the City in accordance with the ward boundaries as shown on the map on file in the office of the City Clerk and with the following descriptions:
1. 
Ward 1. All the land within the corporate limits of Oak Grove, beginning at the intersection of N Broadway (H Highway) and E Jim Owings Road; south along N Broadway and S Broadway (F Highway) to SW 6th Street; west to SW Mitchell Street; south to SW 10th Street; east to SW Clinton Street; south to SW 13th Street; west to SW 15th Street; east to S Broadway; south to SW 25th Street; west to SW Locust Street; south to SW 28th Street; west to the boundary of the City; and thereafter north and west along the western boundary of the existing City limits to the point of intersection with N Broadway and E Jim Owings Road.
2. 
Ward 2. All the land within the corporate limits of Oak Grove, beginning at the intersection of N Broadway (H Highway) and the northernmost boundary of the City; south along N Broadway and S Broadway (F Highway) to SW 6th Street; west to SW Mitchell Street; south to SW 8th Street; east to SE Salem Street; south to SE 12th Street; east to SE Hillside Drive; south to SE 18th Street; east to SE High Drive; south to SE 19th Street; east to SE Shady Oak Drive; north along SE Shady Oak Drive and the existing eastern and northern City limits to the point of intersection of N roadway and the northernmost boundary of the City; and including the area detached from the City and used as the City's south sewer lagoon facility.
3. 
Ward 3. All the land within the corporate limits of Oak Grove, beginning at the intersection of SW 8th Street and SW Mitchell Street; south along SW Mitchell Street to SW 10th Street; east along SW 10th Street to SW Clinton Street: south along SW Clinton Street to SW 13th Street; west to SW 15th Street; east to S Broadway; south to SW 25th Street; west to SW Locust Street; south to SW 28th Street; west to the boundary of the City; and thereafter south along the existing City limits to their intersection with SE Shady Oak Drive; south to SE 19th Street; west to SE High Drive; north to SE 18th Street; west to SE Hillside Drive; north to SE 12th Street; west to SE Salem Street; north along SE Salem Street to SE 8th Street; along SE 8th Street thence back to the intersection of SW 8th Street and SW Mitchell Street.
