This Chapter shall be known and may be cited as the Water System
Design and Construction Standards Ordinance.

The design and construction standards presented in this Chapter
are the minimum standards to be followed by the Water Department,
hereinafter referred to as the "department", and private development
in the design and construction of the local water distribution system.
The standards are not intended to be used as a substitute for actual
design computations and construction specifications.

The City reserves the right to amend or modify this Chapter
and to interpret the meaning of all statements made herein.
