[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Lawrence 11-10-1998. Amendments noted where applicable.]
The Town of Lawrence Town Board is hereby increased in size to five Supervisors. In recognition of the requirement of staggered terms for additional Supervisors pursuant to § 60.21, Wis. Stats., the terms of Supervisors shall be as follows:
A. 
Five Supervisors shall be elected at large in the 1999 spring election.
B. 
The office of Town Chairperson shall be a two-year term.
C. 
Of the four non-Chair Supervisors elected, the two Supervisors obtaining the highest number of votes shall serve two-year terms and the two Supervisors receiving the lowest number of votes shall each serve a one-year term.
D. 
It is the express intention that the two Supervisors (other than the Town Chairperson) obtaining the least number of votes shall be up for reelection in the spring of the year 2000 and then every two years thereafter, thereby creating staggered terms of Supervisors with the election of the Town Chairperson and two Supervisors in odd-numbered years and the election of the remaining two Supervisors in even-numbered years.
