A. 
The County Clerk is appointed custodian of the records of Cass County Commission, and that such custodian is located at County Courthouse, Harrisonville, MO 64701.
B. 
All records of Cass County, Missouri, with the exception of participant records; personnel files; competitive grant applications; records relating to potential or pending litigation; and all other records protected from disclosure by Federal or State law are available for review by appointment during normal business hours at the County Clerk's office in Harrisonville, Missouri.

C. 
To view requested documents, a written request specifying the name of the document to be viewed must be submitted to the custodian of records. The documents will be made available for viewing by the end of the third (3rd) business day following the date the request is received. In the event the document is not available within the timeframe, the custodian will provide a written statement explaining why the document is not available.
D. 
Requests for copies of documents must be made in the same manner; however, a charge to cover the expense of the document search and reproduction will be charged and payment will be received prior to making the copies requested. Charges may be waived by the custodian.
E. 
It is the public policy of Cass County Commission that meetings, records, votes, actions and deliberations of this body shall be open to the public unless otherwise provided by the law.
F. 
Cass County, Missouri, shall comply with Chapter 610, RSMo., the Sunshine Law, as now existing or hereafter amended.
