A.
The
Cass County Recorder of Deeds shall impose a fee upon issuance of
a marriage license in the amount of five dollars ($5.00) to be paid
by the person applying for the license. These funds, when collected,
shall be deposited in a special fund by the Cass County Treasurer
to provide financial assistance to shelters for victims of domestic
violence per Sections 455.200 to 455.230, RSMo.
B.
Pursuant
to Section 455.210, RSMo., the Cass County Commission designates the
Cass County Commission as the authority to administer the allocation
and distribution of the funds to shelters for victims of domestic
violence. Funds shall be distributed pursuant to Secctions 455.220
to 455.230, RSMo.
