A. 
This Chapter establishes the "rules and regulations" to all park lands administered by the City of Pevely, Missouri, as follows:
1. 
Any Section or provision of this Chapter which shall be declared to be in conflict with Federal, State, County or City ordinances shall be deemed to be modified to be in agreement and accordance with those laws, rules or regulations.
2. 
The rules and regulations established by this Chapter shall be enforced by the Police Department of the City of Pevely, Missouri.
3. 
Any activity likely to result in injury to persons or property or a loss of life is prohibited. The sports and activities are to take place in the location provided for them and in open areas when such sport or activity will not create a hazard to others.

A. 
Pevely parks shall close one (1) hour after sunset and remain closed until 6:30 A.M.
B. 
Exceptions:
1. 
Other hours may be allowed with the approval of the Pevely Parks and Recreation Board.
2. 
Pevely Park #1 shall allow adults (and children sixteen (16) and under when accompanied by a parent or guardian) to utilize the park until 10:30 P.M.

A. 
Licensed cars, trucks, buses or similar vehicles shall be permitted only in those areas of the parks where roadways are provided. Bicycles may be walked in grassy areas and along pedestrian walkways and may be parked where they will not inconvenience others. Bicycles are not allowed on the race track for remote control vehicles. No motor vehicle shall be parked on grassy areas. Vehicles shall be parked only in designated areas. No off-road motorized vehicles are allowed in the parks.
B. 
It shall be unlawful for any person to be upon bicycles, roller skates or skateboard or riding in or by means of any coaster, toy, vehicle, motorized scooter, all terrain vehicles, motorized play vehicle or similar device while in or upon any portion of any park premises unless specifically designated therefor; provided however, this provision shall not apply to show, exhibition, demonstration or other activity which is a part of a special event being sponsored on park premises, nor shall this provision apply to child carrying devices such as baby strollers, carriages or wagons or to a disabled person.

No park property, animate or inanimate, shall be damaged, destroyed or removed from the park or moved from the location where it is installed or planted. No holes shall be dug and no structure, either temporary or permanent, shall be erected unless authorized. Any damages done by a minor, parents will be held responsible for the damages.

A. 
All facilities shall be on a first-come, first-served basis, unless the pavilion had been previously reserved. There will be a fee of thirty dollars ($30.00) for residents, sixty dollars ($60.00) for non-residents, with an additional seventy dollars ($70.00) deposit, to be refunded as long as the park is not damaged, to reserve the pavilion, payable in advance.
B. 
The facilities and equipment shall be used for the purposes for which they were designed and no other. Use of facilities and equipment for purposes other than for which they were designed is prohibited.
C. 
The Pevely Parks and Recreation Board may reserve the facilities for any purpose it feels is necessary for the benefit of the citizens of Pevely.

No firearms, explosives, fireworks or air-powered weapons are to be brought into, possessed or set off in any park area, except on the part of any Police Officer, without the permission of the Pevely Parks and Recreation Board.

No person shall molest, hunt, kill or frighten any wildlife creature in any manner whatsoever.

Domestic animals are not permitted in the parks unless said animals are on a leash not to exceed six (6) feet in length. Horses are not to be ridden or kept in the parks without the permission of the Pevely Parks and Recreation Board.

No speeches or demonstrations, exhibitions, concerts, parades, dances or similar activities shall be allowed in any park unless a special permit is obtained at least thirty (30) days in advance, on applications filed at City Hall.

Overnight camping is prohibited without the permission of the Pevely Park Commission.

No person, organization or firm other than the Park Board or properly licensed concessionaires, under contractual agreement with the City Hall, shall expose or offer for sale, rent or trade any article or service or station or place any stand, cart or vehicle for the transportation, sale or display of any merchandise within the limits of any park.

Picnicking without fires may be done in any areas where it will not interfere with other recreational activities. Fires are permitted only within the grills that are provided. The grills and picnicking facilities are for family and group picnics. Use of these facilities or "free kitchen", restaurants or similar activity is expressly prohibited.

All trash shall be deposited in trash containers located within the park boundaries. These trash containers are designed for use only by park users. The use of these containers for any other purpose is forbidden.

Alcoholic beverages and non-intoxicating beer may be possessed only by persons of legal age and only in accordance with State and local laws.

No person shall pitch horseshoes or other similar objects in any of the parks of the City, except in the areas designated by the Pevely Parks and Recreation Board for such purposes.

No glass containers of any kind are allowed in any of the City parks.

No hardball or softball playing will be allowed in Joe Whaley Memorial Park or Ellis Bage Memorial Park.
