A. 
Pursuant to the provisions of the State Construction Code, in accordance with Section 8b(6) of Act 230, of the Public Acts of 1972, as amended (the "Act"),[1] the Village is designated as the enforcing agency to discharge the responsibility of the Village under the Act. The Village assumes responsibility for the administration and enforcement of the Act throughout its corporate limits.[2]

B. 
Pursuant to the provisions of the State Construction Code, including the State Building Code and the State Residential Code, and in accordance with Section 8b(6) of the Act, the Village assumes responsibility for the administration and enforcement of the Act, including Appendix G of the State Building Code, throughout the Village's corporate limits.
For purposes of the State Construction Code as adopted by this article, the building permit and inspection fees shall be such fees as are established and adjusted by Village Council resolution.
Any person who violates, disobeys, omits, neglects or refuses to comply with or resists the enforcement of this article shall be responsible for a municipal civil infraction, subject to § 1-2. Increased civil fines may be imposed for “repeated violations,” which means a second or subsequent municipal civil infraction violation committed by a person within any twelve-month period and for which a person admits responsibility or is determined to be responsible. The increased civil fine for repeat violations is set forth in § 1-2.[2]
