The intent of this Article is to provide for maintenance of
property values, health and public welfare, safety and visual standards
for the good of the residents of the City of New Melle. This Article
applies to "R-1A", "R-1B", "R-1C" and "R-1D" zoning districts.

A.
The
following standards are required as viewed from the front of home
or main thoroughfare:
1.
No temporary or uncompleted building, nor any automotive equipment,
trailer, breezeway or lean, used for storage of vehicles, trailers,
boats or other recreational equipment is allowed.
2.
No temporary or uncompleted building, trailer or appurtenance incidental
to a family dwelling shall be used as a living area or until completed
or approved for occupancy permits by the City Engineer.
3.
Building or structures so damaged as to become unfit for use of habitation
shall not be permitted, maintained or remain in such condition for
more than a time period to be stipulated by the City Engineer as per
the City Code.
4.
Trailers, trucks over one (1) ton, boats, recreational vehicles or
other recreational equipment are not allowed to be parked or stored
outside in public view.
5.
Building material stored outside are prohibited except during construction
or remodeling on premises only, nor for off-site projects.
