A.
Prior to the installation of any improvements, the subdivider shall obtain a construction permit from the City Clerk. The permit shall authorize the construction of only those improvements contained within the improvement plans. During the installation of any or all improvements, the City shall retain the right to inspect the installation as deemed necessary to ensure compliance with the approved improvement plants. If any installation of improvements is deemed inadequate to meet the requirements of the approved improvement plans, the City Engineer shall have the right to order a suspension of construction until compliance is achieved.
B.
All inspections required under this Chapter will be performed by the City Engineer or his authorized representative. Upon completion of the installation of any or all improvements, the City Engineer shall file with the City Clerk notification that he has inspected the installation and that it is in compliance with the approved improvement plans, as far as he is able to determine. This shall not relieve the developer of his responsibility in cases of improper faulty construction, substitution of inferior materials, or unapproved deviations from the improvement plans approved by the Board of Aldermen.
C.
The subdivider shall pay for and arrange for inspections performed by a registered professional engineer in his employ, and any inspections that may be required by ordinances and regulations of other agencies having jurisdiction.
