A. 
The following documents shall be adopted to establish standards and procedures for the construction of all public works projects: streets, sewers, flood control and storm drain facilities, street lighting, landscaping and irrigation systems.
1. 
The standard specification and design within the 1997 Edition, American Public Works Association and the standard specifications and design criteria of the Kansas City Metropolitan Chapter APWA.
2. 
The construction and material specification within the Water Division II Section 2900 of the American Water Works Association.
3. 
Street signs and traffic markings manual; the Uniform Traffic Control Devices 2003 Edition.

Inspections of structures shall be made in accordance with the provisions and regulations as provided by the standards adopted.

Fees shall be assessed as provided within Section 500.020, "Permit Fees", for said inspections required.

Any firm, association, person, partnership, or corporation or any agent thereof, who violates any provisions of this Article or any of the codes adopted herein, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, upon the conviction of which, shall be fined not less than one hundred dollars ($100.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00), or be imprisoned for not more than twenty (20) days or both. Each day during which such violation shall continue to exist is a separate offense.

Three (3) copies of said adopted standards has been on file in the office of the City Clerk since September, 2003, for a period exceeding ninety (90) days as required by Section 67.280, RSMo., and copies shall be made for the public use, examination and inspection.
