A.
Purpose. The purpose of this article is to prohibit any noise of
such character, intensity or duration as to be detrimental to the
life, health or welfare of any individual or which steadily or intermittently
annoys, disturbs, injures or endangers the conform, repose, peace,
safety or welfare of any individual.
B.
CONSTRUCTION
PERSON
Definitions. As used in this article, the following terms shall have
the meanings indicated:
Any site preparation, assembly, erection, repair, alteration
or similar action, including demolition of buildings or structures.
Any individual, corporation, company, partnership, firm,
association.
C.
The following acts are declared to be in violation of this article,
but such acts shall not be construed to be a limitation or deemed
to be exclusive.
(1)
No person shall operate any landscaping and/or yard maintenance equipment,
including, but not limited to, motorized lawn motors, blowers, edgers,
weed whackers, chain saws, and similar motorized yard equipment between
the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. on weekdays and between the hours
of 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, either by homeowners
or hired professionals.
(2)
No person shall commence construction before 7:00 a.m. on weekdays
and 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
D.
Emergencies. Noise caused in the performance of emergency work for
the immediate safety, health or welfare of the community or to restore
property to a safe condition following a public calamity shall not
be subject to the provisions of this article.
