A durably paved surface area, enclosed in the main building, in an accessory building or unenclosed, sufficient in size to store one (1) standard automobile and if the space is unenclosed comprising an area of not less than nine (9) feet by nineteen (19) feet, exclusive of a durably paved surface driveway connecting the parking space with a street and permitting satisfactory ingress and egress of an automobile, storage and display of motor vehicles.

A durably paved surface area, enclosed in the main building, in an accessory building or unenclosed, sufficient in size to store one (1) standard automobile and if the space is unenclosed, comprising an area of not less than two hundred (200) square feet, which may be a part of a durably paved surface driveway connecting the parking space with a street and permitting satisfactory ingress and egress. Said parking space must be contiguous to and abut the existing driveway, except when behind the front building line.

A level, durably paved surface area, enclosed in the main building, in an accessory building or unenclosed, comprising an area of not less than twelve (12) feet by nineteen (19) feet or as specified in ANSI A117.1. These spaces shall be identified by above grade signs as reserved for the physically handicapped person. All non-residential parking lots shall provide appropriate spaces for handicapped parking as follows:

Parking spaces for the physically handicapped person shall be located as close as possible to elevators, ramps, walkways and entrances. These spaces should be located so that physically handicapped persons are not compelled to wheel or walk behind parked cars to reach elevators, ramps, walkways and entrances.

A. 
Required Parking Spaces. There shall be provided accessible durably paved parking spaces on the lot adequate to accommodate two (2) automobiles for each dwelling unit.
B. 
Optional Parking Spaces. In addition to the required parking spaces, optional parking spaces may be established with asphalt, concrete or brick and said area shall be large enough to provide for the entire parking of a motor vehicle, motor home, camper, boat or trailer. Said optional parking spaces must be contiguous to and abut the driveway.
C. 
All required parking spaces shall be maintained so they remain durably paved. All holes and other disrepair shall be paved or repaired. The Department of Public Works shall inspect all parking lots, requiring repairs as needed.

A. 
All buildings shall provide at least one (1) parking space for each employee and in addition to that shall provide parking spaces as required by the following usages:
1. 
Assembly halls or schools, except nursery, elementary and junior high, shall provide at least one (1) parking space for each four (4) seats available in said building.
2. 
Churches shall provide at least one (1) parking space for each four (4) seats available in said building.
3. 
Restaurants or eating establishments shall provide at least one (1) parking space for each two hundred (200) square feet of gross floor area, exclusive of the area used for storage, utilities and building service areas.
4. 
All other buildings shall provide at least one (1) parking space for each three hundred (300) square feet of gross floor area, exclusive of the area used for storage, utilities and building service areas.
B. 
All non-residential parking lots shall have the number of parking spaces for physically handicapped persons as specified. The owner shall provide such handicapped parking signs and posts as needed.
C. 
All required parking spaces shall be maintained so they remain durably paved. All holes and other disrepair shall be paved or repaired and the Department of Public Works shall inspect all parking lots, requiring repairs as needed.
D. 
Owners of multiple-dwelling parking lots and those areas of all non-residential parking lots designed and/or utilized for public access after dark shall provide lighting during time of occupancy and said lighting shall be designed, installed and maintained so as to achieve the illumination set forth herein:

Parking area lighting shall be designed and installed so as to achieve the illumination levels set forth herein. Lighting shall be maintained so as to achieve not less than eighty percent (80%) of the minimum and average illumination levels set forth by the table herein
2. 
The Director of Public Works may permit lighting arrangements exceeding the maximum initial level set for herein to allow lighting designs which substantially exceed the required minimum and average illumination levels.
3. 
The Director may permit facilities related to or supported by charity to utilize the standards set forth for multiple-dwelling instead of the non-residential requirements, provided illumination shall be adequate for usage.
4. 
The source of illumination shall not be lower than ten (10) feet above grade except as approved by the Director.
5. 
All lighting, including any permitted illuminated sign, shall be arranged so there will be no annoying glare directed or reflected toward residential buildings or toward motorists on adjacent streets.

For the purpose of this Subsection, non-residential refers to parking areas for any land use, regardless of zoning designation, in which goods, services or entertainment are offered to the general public on the premises.

All new parking areas shall meet these requirements prior to the issuance of an occupancy permit. All existing parking areas shall be brought into compliance with the foregoing provisions prior to January 1, 1998, except extensions of time may be granted by the Director for cause.
