A. 
Snowmobiles may be operated upon the streets, highways, and areas not herein specified as restricted within the Municipal Limits of the City as follows:
1. 
By a person sixteen (16) years of age or older and holding a valid Missouri driver's license.
2. 
In a single file manner, in the proper lane of traffic but as close to the curb as possible under existing circumstances.
3. 
Snowmobiles traveling on public streets, highways and areas shall not exceed the posted speed limits and observe the other traffic regulations of the City.
4. 
All snowmobiles shall be operated in a manner as to yield the right-of-way to all other traffic which constitutes an immediate hazard.
5. 
All snowmobiles operated in permitted areas or streets shall be equipped with operable head and tail lights and a muffler in good working order to prevent excessive and unusual noise.
6. 
Any person operating a snowmobile or riding passenger must be wearing a helmet.

A. 
Snowmobiles may not be operated upon the following public streets, highways or areas within the Municipal Limits of the City:
1. 
All parks.
2. 
State highway system.

Snowmobiles shall not be operated upon the public sidewalks within the Municipal Limits of the City, nor shall they be operated upon that portion of the public streets and highways located between the curb line and the sidewalk, commonly referred to as "parkway".

Any person violating any provisions of this Chapter is guilty of an ordinance violation. Each occurrence of violation is a separate offense.
