Vision obstructions at intersections — See Ch. 337, § 337-30.
The City hereby establishes a mandatory policy that any hedge, bush, shrub, or other vegetation not classified as a tree may not be taller than four feet in height in the front yard, and six feet in height in the side yard or backyard, and must not be within a right-of-way or a setback or extend over a property line. The vegetation must not create a visual hazard or a sight issue for vehicles or pedestrians.
This policy becomes effective as of the date of this chapter, meaning that all hedges and vegetation on property within City limits must come into compliance with this chapter as of the undersigned date.[1]

Any violation of the above provisions shall subject the property owner to a fine of $50 for a first offense and $100 for each subsequent offense. Repeated offenses may subject the property owner to more serious penalties, at the discretion of the undersigned.[1]
