In addition to all other fees and charges, there are hereby established connection fees to the City's wastewater system to be paid by the owner or occupant of any building or other structure within the City to which new or expanded water/sewer service is sought. Connection fees to the City's wastewater system shall be based upon the size of the water meter requested in accordance with the following schedule; provided, however, that the owner or occupant of any existing building or structure which is served by a septic tank for which connection to the City's wastewater system is sought, shall be entitled to have the connection fees set forth herein waived by the City.

Any expanded user who increases the size or number of water meters serving any existing building or structure shall pay a fee equal to the difference between the connection fee for the meter or meters which existed prior to the increase and the connection fee for the newly installed meter or meters as per each of the above schedules for connections to the City's wastewater system and connection to the City's water system.

The connection fees established herein are required to meet the City's obligations with respect to maintenance of its existing wastewater and water systems.

No residence, building or other structure may be connected to either the City's wastewater system or the City's water system without the consent and approval of the City and all connections to said systems shall be made at the direction of, and under the supervision of appropriate City personnel. All connections to such systems shall be subject to inspections by City personnel before water or wastewater service to such residence, building or structure is permitted.
