Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40:12-1 to 40:12-8, there is hereby created a public body in the Borough of Somerdale to be known as the "Board of Recreation Commissioners of the Borough of Somerdale."
A. 
The Board of Recreation Commissioners of the Borough of Somerdale shall consist of seven members who shall be citizens and residents of the Borough of Somerdale.
B. 
Terms.
(1) 
The Commission first appointed shall hold office as follows:
(a) 
One for one year.
(b) 
One for two years.
(c) 
One for three years.
(d) 
Two for four years.
(e) 
Two for five years.
(2) 
All appointments thereafter shall be for staggered terms of five years, with one, one, one, two and two members being appointed in successive years.

C. 
The Mayor shall make all appointments subject to confirmation by the Council.
D. 
Members shall receive no compensation for their services.
The Board of Recreation Commissioners shall have all the power and authority set forth in N.J.S.A. 40:12-1 to 40:12-8.
