The Board of Review shall be established as provided in § 5-9 of the Village Code and shall perform the duties as are imposed by the provisions of § 70.47, Wis. Stats., and as the same may be amended from time to time, and otherwise as provided by law. No member shall serve contemporaneously on any Board of Review of Brown County.[1]

The Board shall meet as often as necessary, but not less often than annually, as required by law and/or the Village Board. The Board shall meet at the Village Hall, or elsewhere if designated by the Village Board. A simple majority of the members of the Board shall constitute a quorum. No business of the Board shall be transacted without a quorum being present. All meetings shall be held publicly and be open to all citizens at all times. No formal action of any kind shall be introduced, deliberated upon or adopted at any closed session or meeting of the Board.
The Board shall perform all of such duties, give all notices, and follow all procedural and hearing requirements as are provided in § 70.47, Wis. Stats., and as the same may be amended from time to time, and otherwise imposed by law.

The annual salary of each member of the Board of Review shall be established by the Village Board.

Whenever the Assessor, in the performance of the Assessor's duties, requests or obtains income and expense information pursuant to § 70.47(7)(af), Wis. Stats., or any successor statute thereto, then such income and expense information that is provided to the Assessor shall be held by the Assessor on a confidential basis, except, however, that the information may be revealed to and used by persons in the discharge of duties imposed by law; in the discharge of duties imposed by office (including but not limited to use by the Assessor in performance of official duties of the Assessor's office and use by the Board of Review in performance of its official duties); or pursuant to order of a court. Income and expense information provided to the Assessor under § 70.47(7)(af), Wis. Stats., unless a court determines that it is inaccurate, is, per § 70.47(7)(af), Wis. Stats., not subject to the right of inspection and copying under § 19.35(1), Wis. Stats.
