The following intersections are designated as yield right-of-way
intersections and traffic shall yield as indicated. Yield right-of-way
signs shall be maintained at the appropriate approaches to such intersections;
and thereupon, the driver of every vehicle approaching such sign shall
slow down to a speed reasonable for the existing conditions and shall
yield the right-of-way to other vehicles which have entered the intersecting
street from the right or left or which are approaching so closely
on such intersecting street as to constitute an immediate hazard;
but such driver, having so yielded, may proceed at such time as a
safe interval occurs. If a driver is involved in a collision at such
intersection or interferes with the movement of other vehicles after
driving past a yield right-of-way sign, such collision or interference
shall be deemed prima facie evidence of the driver's failure to yield
the right-of-way.
