The Township's police officers are authorized to arrest without a warrant for any of the following offenses set forth in 42 Pa.C.S.A. § 8902(a)(1):
A. 
18 Pa.C.S.A. § 5503 (relating to disorderly conduct).
B. 
18 Pa.C.S.A. § 5505 (relating to public drunkenness).
C. 
18 Pa.C.S.A. § 5507 (relating to obstructing highways and other public passages).
D. 
18 Pa.C.S.A. § 6308 (relating to purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of liquor or malt or brewed beverages).

When a police officer makes a warrantless arrest under 42 Pa.C.S.A. § 8902, the police officer shall consult Rule 441 of the Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure, and the police officer shall follow the procedures set forth in Rule 441.
Prior to making a warrantless arrest under 42 Pa.C.S.A. § 8902, a police officer shall ensure that the following requirements contained in the statute are satisfied:
A. 
That probable cause exists that the arrestee has committed one of the listed summary offenses.
B. 
That the arrestee's conduct is ongoing.
C. 
That the conduct constituting the summary offense is upon the police officer's view.
D. 
That the conduct imperils the personal security of any person (including the arrestee) or endangers public or private property.
