No person shall engage in the business of buying, selling, dealing
in or grooming or training birds, dogs, or other small animals used
as household pets or used for domestic purposes without first obtaining
a license.
The annual fee for a license for dealers in birds, dogs and other small animals shall be $250. The licensee shall pay an additional fee based upon the square footage of the business premises as prescribed by §
11.16.
No license shall be issued hereunder unless the applicant is
in compliance with the Animal Welfare Act of the State of Illinois
(225 ILCS 605/1 et seq.).
