(A)
The sale, storage or possession in any manner of fireworks, as defined
by 425 ILCS 35/1, shall be unlawful, except as may be necessary for
the giving of a licensed public exhibition of pyrotechnics as hereinafter
provided. Any such storage must be under the supervision of the Department
of Public Safety.
(B)
It shall be unlawful to discharge or set off any fireworks or pyrotechnics
in the City, except that public exhibitions of fireworks and pyrotechnics
may be given if a license therefor is granted by the Council. Such
exhibitions shall be given subject to the supervision of the Department
of Public Safety.
It shall be unlawful to keep or store any explosives in the
City without written permission of the Department of Public Safety,
except that ammunition for small firearms shall not be construed as
explosives.
All explosives kept or stored in the City shall be kept and
stored in accordance with the rules enforced by the State Fire Marshal
with regard thereto.
