No connections shall be made to a sanitary sewer which connections
are intended to discharge inflow. Such prohibited connections include,
but are not limited to, footing drains, roof leaders, roof drains,
cellar drains, sump pumps, catch basins, yard or area drains, uncontaminated
cooling water discharges or other sources of inflow.
All connections which contribute inflow to the sanitary sewer
systems must be disconnected in a fashion approved by the Superintendent
and upon direction of the Superintendent. Disconnection shall be immediate
unless the Superintendent authorizes a continued connection due to
an emergency condition which determination shall be in the Superintendent's
sole discretion and judgment.
It shall be a willful violation of this chapter for any person
to reconnect any inflow source which has been disconnected pursuant
to this article.
The Superintendent is authorized to inspect any potential sources of inflow or potential prohibited connections of inflow set forth in § 206-61.
