Pursuant to the Intergovernmental Cooperation Act, 53 Pa.C.S.A. § 2301 et seq., the terms and conditions of the Municipal Regional Police Department Speed Enforcement Intergovernmental Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A," is hereby approved.[1]

The proper officers of the Township, specifically the Township Chief of Police, Chief Bryan B. Kelly, and/or the Township Manager, Timothy J. Rogers, Esquire, is hereby authorized to execute the within Municipal Regional Police Department Speed Enforcement Intergovernmental Agreement with the PSP (Pennsylvania State Police) on behalf of the Township.
This Agreement shall remain in effect for a period of two years from the date of execution unless rescinded or annulled by either party.
The PSP and all participating municipalities, including the Township of Shaler, as host municipalities, invite, accept and will receive those officers of any other participating municipality (including any subsequently made officers) to be police officers of the host municipality during the current contract term and any renewals thereof.
