Township of Irvington, NJ Chapter 128 Urban Enterprise Zone

Article I Urban Enterprise Zone Development Corporation

§ 128-1 Approval of designation.

The Township of Irvington hereby approves the designation of the nonprofit Irvington Urban Enterprise Zone Corporation, pursuant to the provisions of Title 15 of the Revised Statutes, as authorized in § 3f of P.L. 1983, c. 303, as amended,[1] to act as the zone development corporation for the Township.

§ 128-2 Board of Directors.

A. Any appointments to the Urban Enterprise Zone Board of Directors shall be subject to the advice and consent of the Municipal Council as the governing body for the Township.

B. The Irvington Municipal Council is hereby vested with the authority to nominate a member to the Board of Directors.

C. At least one seat on the Board of Directors shall be reserved and/or designated for a member of the Irvington Chamber of Commerce.

Article II Acceptance of Designation

§ 128-3 Acceptance of areas and plan.

The Municipal Council of the Township of Irvington does hereby accept the designation of certain areas contained in its resolution.[1] The Municipal Council accepts this designation from the Urban Enterprise Zone Authority and accepts the designation of the Zone Development Plan as formulated and approved in the aforesaid resolutions.
