This article is adopted under authority of §§ 349.13 and 59.54(6), Wis. Stats.
A. 
County Trunk Highway J.
(1) 
Findings. In light of recent road construction and installation of curbs, gutters, and sidewalks, there is a need to prohibit parking on the right-of-way on the south side of County Trunk Highway J from its intersection with State Trunk Highway 13 west to the village limits of the Village of Friendship.
(2) 
Prohibition of parking. It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle at any time, excepting vehicles of physicians on emergency calls or other emergency vehicles, in the County right-of-way on the south side of County Trunk Highway J from its intersection with State Trunk Highway 13 west to the Village of Friendship.
(3) 
Effective date. This subsection shall take effect and be enforced following passage and publication as provided by law; provided, however, that no enforcement action shall be taken and no citation issued until signs have been posted as provided by § 350-33 of this article.
B. 
County Trunk Highway B.

(1) 
Findings. Parking on the right-of-way of County Trunk Highway B in the vicinity of Gale Avenue presents a significant safety hazard which threatens the safety and property of motorists, pedestrians, and those who park vehicles in the area.
(2) 
Prohibition of parking. It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle on either side of County Trunk Highway B, including all of the right-of-way, within 500 feet of the center line of Gale Avenue.
(3) 
Effective date. This subsection shall take effect and be enforced on April 1, 1999, following passage and publication as provided by law; provided, however, that no enforcement action shall be taken and no citation issued until signs have been posted as provided by § 350-33 of this article.
C. 
County Trunk Highway Z.

(1) 
Findings. Parking on the right-of-way of County Trunk Highway Z in the vicinity of Klein Creek Area presents a significant safety hazard which threatens the safety and property of motorists, pedestrians, and those who park vehicles in the area.
(2) 
Prohibition of parking. It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle on either side of County Trunk Highway Z, including all of the right-of-way, from its intersection with County Highway F southerly for a distance of 0.83 of a mile (4,375 feet) to a point 0.17 of a mile (900 feet) north of its intersection with Dyke Avenue.
(3) 
Effective date. This subsection shall take effect and be enforced on August 1, 2003, following passage and publication as provided by law; provided, however, that no enforcement action shall be taken and no citation issued until signs have been posted as provided by § 350-33 of this article.
D. 
County Trunk Highway H.

(1) 
Findings. Parking on the right-of-way of County Trunk Highway H in the vicinity of White Creek Lions Park presents a significant safety hazard which threatens the safety and property of motorists, pedestrians, and those who park vehicles in the area.
(2) 
Prohibition of parking. It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle on either side of County Trunk Highway H, including all of the right-of-way, from its intersection with State Trunk Highway 13 westerly for a distance of 0.383 of a mile (2,020 feet).
(3) 
Effective date. This subsection shall take effect and be enforced on January 1, 2009, following passage and publication as provided by law; provided, however, that no enforcement action shall be taken and no citation issued until signs have been posted as provided by § 350-33 of this article.
E. 
County Trunk Highway H.

(1) 
Authority. This Ordinance is adopted under the authority of sections 349.13 and 59.54(6) of the Wisconsin State Statutes.
(2) 
Findings. Parking on the right-of-way of County Truck H presents a significant hazard, which threatens the safety and property of motorists, pedestrians and those who park vehicles in the area.
(3) 
Prohibition of parking. It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle on either side of County Trunk Highway H, including all of the right-of-way, from its intersection with 15th Avenue to West 14th Lane.
(4) 
Signs. The Adams County Highway Department shall cause appropriate signs to be placed, which indicates the prohibition imposed by this ordinance.
(5) 
Penalty. Any person or corporation violating any provision of this ordinance shall forfeit not less than $10 nor more than $100 for each offense and a separate offense shall be deme committed on each day during which a violation occurs or continues. Violations may be enforced by citation or by any other procedure allowed by law.
(6) 
Towing away illegally parked cars. The Sheriff's Department, and all members thereof assigned to traffic duty, are hereby authorized to remove and tow away, or have removed and towed away by commercial towing service, any car or other vehicle illegally parked in any place where such parked vehicle creates or constitutes a traffic hazard, blocks the use of a fire hydrant, or obstructs or may obstruct the movement of any emergency vehicle or violates this ordinance.
Cars so towed away for illegal parking shall be stored in a safe place and shall be returned to the owner or operator of such car upon payment of a fee as set by the Sheriff's Department and the towing and storage service.
(7) 
Effective date. This ordinance shall take effect and be enforced following passage and publication as provided by law, provided, however, that no enforcement action shall be taken and no citations issued until signs have been posted as provided by section 4 of this ordinance.
The Adams County Highway Department shall cause appropriate signs to be posted which indicate the prohibitions imposed by this article.
Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this article shall forfeit not less than $10 nor more than $100 for each offense, and a separate offense shall be deemed committed on each day during or on which a violation occurs or continues. Violations may be enforced by citation or by any other procedure allowed by law.
