GENERAL REFERENCES
Vehicles and traffic — See Ch. 207.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
LOW SPEED VEHICLE (LSV)
A motor vehicle as defined in § 340.01(27h), Wis. Stats. "Low-speed vehicle" does not include a golf cart.
The operator of an LSV must have a valid Wisconsin driver's license.
Operation of an LSV is permitted on any roadway within the Village that has a speed limit of 35 miles per hour or less, regardless of whether the municipality has jurisdiction over the roadway, except as otherwise limited by state law and Village ordinances.
Operation of an LSV is prohibited on sidewalks, recreational trails, and within municipal parks and recreation areas (except on roadways and in parking lots).
The operation of LSVs as permitted herein shall comply with all state and local traffic laws, including but not limited to Chapter 207 of the Village Code.
Enforcement of this chapter shall be by the Village Police pursuant to Chapter 207 of the Village Code and all other applicable Village ordinances.
The provisions of this chapter shall be deemed severable, and it is expressly declared that the Village Board would have passed the other provisions of this chapter irrespective of whether or not one or more provisions may be declared invalid. If any provision of this chapter or the application to any person or circumstances is held invalid, the remainder of the chapter and the application of such provisions to other persons or circumstances shall not be affected.
