Editor’s Note: This ordinance also repealed former Art. I, Retention and Disposition, adopted 11-15-2011 by Ord. No. 20-2011.
The attached County Records Retention/Disposition Schedule is hereby adopted in its entirety, and each County department shall be governed by the retention/disposition schedule contained therein.[1]

Adams County may keep and preserve public records through the use of microfilm or another reproductive device, optical imaging or electronic formatting.
Public records which meet the standards set forth in § 16.61(7), Wis. Stats., are deemed to be an original public record.
Adams County may submit a records retention/disposition authorization to the Wisconsin Department of Administration Public Records Board for the safeguard of legal, financial and historical interests of the state in Adams County public records as deemed in the best interest of Adams County.
