The purpose of this chapter is to establish policies and procedures for the collection of fees associated with the performance of a marriage or civil union ceremony by the Mayor or Deputy Mayor.
Persons seeking to be married or joined in civil union by the Mayor of Cranford shall remit a fee of $50, to be paid to the Registrar of Vital Statistics of the Township of Cranford. An administrative fee of $5 shall be added to the above established fee.
A. 
Receipt of fees. The fees shall be paid by check, payable to the Township of Cranford. Fees collected shall be deposited into the Township's current fund.
B. 
Disbursement of fees. Fees for services may be disbursed to the Mayor or Deputy Mayor through the appropriate budget line item and with appropriate authorization.
