Unless otherwise authorized by law, no person shall continue to stand or remain in one place, in any street or public place, seeking to make sales of any articles or in the exercise of any other business, after being directed by a police officer to "move on". (1937: c. XVIII, s. 35)
No person shall sing, play or perform on any musical instrument in any street or public place and solicit or receive any compensation or contribution therefor from bystanders or the public without first having obtained a permit therefor from the Chief of Police. (1937: c. XVIII, s. 41)
No person, unless required by law so to do shall, without a permit from the Select Board, post or affix in any manner, paint, print, write or cause to be painted, printed or written any notice, advertisement, bill, picture, drawing, or writing upon any curbstone, sidewalk, tree, pole, post or hydrant in any street or public place, or upon any walk or in any public building.
