Any person who shall violate any provision of the State Building
Code or the requirements thereof shall be punished as provided in
C.G.S. § 29-254a.[1]

the State Building Code is applicable in the Town of Bethlehem.
Any person who shall erect, construct, alter or repair a building
or structure in violation of any approved plan or directive of the
Building Official, or of a permit or certificate issued under the
provisions of the State Building Code, or who shall continue any work
in or about a building after having been served with a stop order,
except such work as he or she is directed to perform to remove a violation
or unsafe condition, shall be punished by a fine not to exceed $100.
Each day any such violation shall continue or each act in violation
shall constitute a separate offense.

A.
Pursuant
to the State Building Code, the Bethlehem Building Official is authorized
to charge the following fees for the issuance of a building permit
or certificate of occupancy, to be paid by the applicant to the Town
of Bethlehem at the time of application, which fees shall be nonrefundable
and in addition to any fees charged by the State of Connecticut, and
shall be based on the estimated cost of construction, alteration,
installation, repair, removal or demolition of any building, structure,
sign, swimming pool or other work under the State Building Code as
determined by the Building Official:
(1)
Building
permit and other fees.
(a)
Building
permit fees:

Twenty-five dollars for the first $1,000 cost or fraction thereof;
and
[2]
Ten dollars for each additional $1,000 cost or fraction thereof;
and
[3]
Twenty-six cents for each $1,000 shall be added to the above fees
to pay the State Education Fund assessment by the Connecticut Department
of Public Safety pursuant to C.G.S. § 29-252a or as determined
by the State of Connecticut.
(b)
Certificate
of occupancy fees.
B.
These fees
shall apply to applications submitted or resubmitted and to inspections
requested or conducted on or after the effective date of this section.

A.
Pursuant to the State Fire Safety Code, the Bethlehem Fire Marshal
is authorized to charge the following plan review fees, to be paid
by the applicant to the Town of Bethlehem at the time of submission
or resubmission of such plans, which fees shall be nonrefundable and
in addition to any fees charged by the State of Connecticut:
(1)
Fire Marshal plan review fees and other fees.
(b)
Building plan reviews.

Building less than 2,000 square feet: $50

Building equal to or greater than 2,000 square feet but less
than 5,000 square feet: $250

Building equal to or greater than 5,000 square feet: $350

For each additional building using the same floor plan on same
site: $275

Resubmittal fee for previously rejected plans: 1/2 base fee

Resubmittal fee for modified approved plans: 1/3 base fee

Mechanical plan reviews.

than 5,000 square feet: $100
