This article shall be titled "A Local Law Changing Residency
Requirements for the Town Building Inspector."
The intent of this article is to allow the Town Board to appoint
a Building Inspector who is not a resident of the Town of Pine Plains.
This article is enacted pursuant to § 10 of the Municipal
Home Rule Law.
The Building Inspector of the Town of Pine Plains at the time
of his or her appointment, and throughout his or her term of office,
need not be an elector of the Town of Pine Plains.
This article is intended to supersede the residency requirements
contained in § 23(1) of the Town Law and § 3(1)
of the Public Officers Law.
