Pursuant to the Borough Code of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,
8 Pa.C.S.A. § 1059.11, the Borough Council of the Borough
of Avalon is hereby empowered to appoint an independent auditor who
shall annually examine, audit and settle all accounts whatsoever in
which the Borough of Avalon is concerned, and shall perform all powers
and duties as prescribed by the Borough Code as it affects said independent
auditor.
The appointment of the independent auditor shall be made at
the first regular meeting of the fiscal year, and shall be on an annual
basis.
In the event a vacancy occurs during an annual term, an appointment
shall be made by the Borough Council as soon as possible after the
vacancy is created to fill the unexpired term of the last independent
auditor.
