Editor's Note: Ordinance No. 2011-24 provided as follows:
"Section 1. The Township Committee has previously established by ordinance, titles for public employment by the Township of Ocean, salary ranges for Township employees and certain Personnel Policies.
"Section 2. The Township Committee of the Township of Ocean wishes to insure that changes and amendments with respect thereto may be adopted by resolution from time to time, including personnel policies and procedures, rules concerning the hiring and termination of employees, terms and conditions of employment, and regulations required to comply with applicable Federal and State employment related law. The personnel policies and procedures adopted pursuant to said resolution(s) shall be applicable to all officials, appointees, employees, prospective employees, volunteers and independent contractors of the Township of Ocean.
"Section 3. The Township Administrator shall be responsible to implement and enforce the personnel practices adopted by ordinance or resolution authorized pursuant to this section. If there is a conflict between said personnel practices and any lawful collective bargaining agreement, personnel services contract or Federal or State law, the terms and conditions of that contract or law shall prevail. In addition, any existing Personnel Ordinance, which is not or has not been amended, restated or changed pursuant to any newly adopted Personnel Policies and Procedure Manual authorized by resolution, shall remain in full force and effect unless and until said policy or procedure is amended by resolution. In all other cases, the practices adopted pursuant to this ordinance shall prevail."
Section 4 further provided for the repeal of the sections noted in this part with an Editor's Note and the date 12-8-2011.
