This chapter shall be known as the "Shillington Borough Skateboard
Ordinance."

A scooter, and other similar non-motorized objects, as used
herein shall mean any wooden, metal or plastic platform with wheels
which is used for coasting or is propelled by the user thereof pushing
the same with his foot or portions of his body.
A skateboard as used herein shall mean any wooden, metal
or plastic board on one side of which is affixed two or more wheels
and which is used for coasting and is guided by the distribution of
weight of the user.

Immediately upon the enactment of this chapter, it shall be illegal
for anyone to operate a skateboard or boards, scooters, or other similar
non-motorized or motorized objects on the public streets, public alleys
and public parks within the Borough of Shillington.
2.
Additionally, it shall be illegal for anyone to operate a skateboard or boards, scooters, or other similar non-motorized or motorized objects on the public sidewalks in any Commercial, Limited Commercial or Institutional Zones within the Borough of Shillington, as set forth in the Borough of Shillington Zoning Ordinance [Chapter 27].

Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate any provision
of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be sentenced to pay
a fine of not more than $300, and/or to imprisonment for a term not
to exceed 90 days.
