1. 
At all locations in the Township where official traffic-control signals are installed, pedestrians, except where directed otherwise by pedestrian-control signals installed under § 15-1202 of this chapter, shall obey the direction of those traffic-control signals, as follows:
A. 
When facing a green signal, a pedestrian may proceed across the roadway within a crosswalk.
B. 
When facing a steady yellow signal, a pedestrian shall not start to cross the roadway, and if already within the roadway, shall exit the roadway quickly and immediately.
C. 
When facing a steady red signal, a pedestrian shall not enter the roadway.

At the following locations, official pedestrian-control signals shall be erected (or are ratified if previously erected):

Along north side of intersection with Route 202

Along south side of intersection with Route 202

Along east and west sides of intersection with Street Road

Along west side of intersection with Shire Drive Logan Square Entrance

2. 
Every pedestrian facing a steady or flashing "Don't Walk" signal shall obey the directions of that signal, as follows:
A. 
When facing a steady "Don't Walk" signal, a pedestrian shall not start to cross the roadway in the direction of the signal. Any pedestrian who started and partially completed his crossing on the "Walk" signal, should quickly proceed to the nearest sidewalk or safety zone and stay there while the "Don't Walk" signal is showing.
B. 
When facing a flashing "Don't Walk" signal, a pedestrian shall not start to cross the roadway in the direction of the indication, but any pedestrian who started and partly completed crossing during the "Walk" indication should proceed to complete the crossing quickly and immediately.
C. 
Any pedestrian who fails to obey the directions of a "Don't Walk" signal, as indicated above, shall be guilty of an offense and a violation of this chapter.

1. 
All vehicles shall yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk at any time in the following locations:
Street
Location
Creekside Drive
At #217 Creekside Drive
Street Road
Between Route 202 and Route 263
2. 
In all other locations, all vehicles shall yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk crossing the street in compliance with the applicable provisions of this chapter and the Vehicle Code.

1. 
It shall be unlawful for any pedestrian:
A. 
To cross any roadway in a business district within the Township except in a crosswalk.
B. 
To cross Route 202 within the Township except in a crosswalk.
C. 
To cross the roadway, in any of the following portions of streets in the Township, except in a crosswalk:

Between Route 202 and Route 263
Kitchens Lane
Between Route 202 and Norwalk Way
2. 
Nothing in this section shall be construed as to permit any pedestrian to cross in a crosswalk in a way that is prohibited by §§ 15-1201 and 15-1202 of this chapter.

Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to apply to emergency or maintenance personnel in the performance of duties, school bus passengers properly crossing in conjunction with a stopped bus, or to any person crossing in accordance with directions from an officer of the law. Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to prohibit a person from crossing in an emergency or to avoid an accident.

This part can be enforced by any law enforcement officer whose jurisdiction covers the Township, including members of the Pennsylvania State Police.

The proper authorities of the Township are directed to erect official signs establishing the traffic regulations as set forth in this chapter, in conformity with the provisions of the Vehicle Code and PennDOT Publication 238. The requirements of this chapter shall not be enforced in areas that have not been so posted.

Any pedestrian who violates any provision of this chapter shall be guilty of a summary offense, and, upon conviction, shall be sentenced to pay a fine of $15 and costs.
