18B, Art. III, of the 1981 Code)]
Whereas, the Town of Alden, during the year 1973, is celebrating
the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Town; and
Whereas, it is deemed appropriate by the Town Board of the Town
of Alden that an official ornamental tree be adopted by the Town Board
during the year of the Town of Alden Sesquicentennial; and
Whereas, the Town Board and its citizens have determined that
the tree which would best represent the Town of Alden as an official
ornamental tree shall be the flowering crab tree.
The flowering crab tree shall henceforth be designated as the
official ornamental tree of the Town of Alden.
