Parks and recreation areas — See Ch. 249.
All park rules and regulations (where applicable), as set forth in Chapter 249, Parks and Recreation Areas, of the Town Code, shall apply to the use of the Community Center.
Teenage groups must be chaperoned by at least one adult or more as may be required by the Town Board, for every 20 youngsters.
The use of the Community Center by individuals for private affairs or functions, such as birthday parties, showers, confirmation parties, wedding parties, wedding receptions, card parties, anniversaries, graduations and bar mitzvahs, shall be prohibited.
Any use of more than one occurrence shall not be granted by the Town Clerk without the prior approval of the Town Board.
The Town Board has the right to cancel any approved application for the use of the Community Center when the use of such facility is deemed necessary by the Town Board for its agents or employees.
The use of the Community Center by religious groups shall be prohibited, except in case of emergency or for a social function and by consent of the Town Board.
Only nonprofit organizations of the Town of Alden shall be permitted to use the Community Center.
In addition, the applicant for the use of the Community Center shall comply with the general rules hereinafter provided for the use and cleaning up of that portion of the premises used and shall be responsible for any damage or breakage resulting from said use.
The premises shall not be allowed to become noisy or disorderly.
The premises shall be left broom-clean.
Furniture and equipment shall be replaced as found.
Upon vacating the premises, the permit holder shall be responsible for seeing that all lights are extinguished, all thermostats are turned down and the premises is locked.
No decorations, displays, stands or equipment shall be nailed, tacked or stapled to any walls of the building or attached in any other manner which shall damage said walls.
No personal property of the applicant or its organization shall remain on the premises.
All applicants and/or organizations seeking a permit to use the Community Center shall file the following application with the Town Clerk:
The undersigned, for and on behalf of the below-named organization, agrees that said organization or applicant will abide by the rules adopted by the Town Board for the use of the Community Center and also all park rules and regulations, pursuant to Chapter 249, Parks and Recreation Areas, of the Town Code, adopted by the Town Board for use and operation of said Town park facilities, copies of these rules to be posted in the Community Center, and the undersigned acknowledges receipt of these various rules and regulations.
The undersigned and/or the organization seeking the permit hereby releases the Town of Alden from any liability for personal property left on the premises of the Community Center by the undersigned or his organization.
