Any person who shall be seen loitering about the private houses or premises of another person, without invitation, within the City limits, after dark, or loitering in or on the streets about such premises, shall be deemed guilty of an ordinance violation.

Any person who shall run any horse, mare or mule, or drive any wheel carriage, or vehicle drawn by any such animals beyond a moderate trot or pace on any street or alley of this City, or if any person ride a bicycle over public crossings, or around street corners at such speed so as to prevent control of such wheel and enable him/her to at once stop; or, when going over such crossing, or going around such street corner he/she neglects or refuses to sound the alarm-bell or gong, or if at night, he/she neglects or refuses to have attached to the bicycle a signal lamp properly lighted, he/she shall be deemed guilty of an ordinance violation.

It shall be unlawful for any person, except passengers, or railroad employees engaged in the operation of trains, to climb upon, over, under, through or between any cars or trains of any railroad in the City of Jonesburg. Whoever shall violate the provisions of this Section shall be deemed guilty of an ordinance violation.

Any person who shall suffer any dead animal, or shall knowingly, after notice thereof by the Chief of Police, suffer or permit, or allow any dead animal belonging to him/her to be or remain in the City limits so as to be likely to become putrid, nauseous or offensive, or bury the same less than two (2) feet deep, shall be guilty of an ordinance violation.

No person shall throw or suffer to be thrown by any person under his/her control into any street, alley, lot or public place any animal or vegetable substance, or dishwater and kitchen refuse whatever, or any rubbish, ashes, straw or hay or other article whatever. Whoever shall violate this Section shall be deemed guilty of an ordinance violation.

Any person who shall throw stones, balls, snow or ice balls or other missiles on the streets of Jonesburg, or who shall shoot with a bow and arrow, sling shot, air rifle or other implement upon or across any of the streets or alleys of the City, shall be deemed guilty of an ordinance violation.

It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to keep any pig or hog, cow, calf, cattle, or fowl, non-domestic animal or maintain a pig pen, hog pen, or cattle pen or yard in the City of Jonesburg, Missouri; provided, however, that upon written application made to the City Clerk, and upon issuance of a written approval by him/her, certain businesses such as processing plants, auction companies, sale barns, transportation companies, livestock dealers, and other like or similar businesses or occupations, located in non-residential, commercial or business areas of said City, may maintain pens or yards for the temporary storage of hogs, pigs, cows, calves, and cattle in connection with their regular business, and provided, further, that no person, firm or corporation in said City shall allow any hog pen or pig pen, or any other place, pen, yard, lot, garden, barn or building, used to keep hogs, pigs, cows, calves, horses, fowls, dogs or other livestock or animals, to become noxious or offensive, and any such violation shall be a nuisance and may be abated as provided by law.

Merchants shall be allowed four (4) feet from the house side of their respective sidewalk for the purpose of displaying their goods and wares during the daytime, but all sidewalks, gutters and streets must be clear of obstruction at nighttime. Any person violating this Section shall be deemed guilty of an ordinance violation.

Every owner of chickens, geese, ducks, turkeys, and pigeons, who shall wilfully or for want of due or reasonable care suffer or permit his/her chickens, geese, ducks, turkeys or pigeons to be at large in the City of Jonesburg, first having been notified by the Chief of Police, shall be deemed guilty of an ordinance violation.

It is unlawful for the owner of property or premises or buildings in the City of Jonesburg, or for any person having charge of such property, premises, or building, as agent or otherwise, to lease or let the same to minor persons for so-called club or social purposes; provided that such property, premises, and building may be leased or let to a responsible adult person who will be present at all gatherings of minors in such buildings, premises or property, and who will personally over-see and supervise such gatherings and be responsible for good moral conduct at such gatherings. Any person violating the provisions of this Section shall be deemed guilty of an ordinance violation.

It is unlawful for any person or persons to go from house to house, or on the public streets in the City of Jonesburg to solicit subscriptions, contributions, assistance or aid in any manner toward or for any object or purpose of any and every nature without written permission first obtained from the Board of Aldermen, or from the Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of Jonesburg. Any person violating this Section shall be deemed guilty of an ordinance violation.

Every person owning or occupying any building in the City of Jonesburg, shall cause the pipes and gutters conducting the water from the eaves of the building to be so constructed so as not to spread the water over the sidewalk. In case of water freezing in any gutter across any sidewalk in the said City, to such an extent as to cause overflow from the gutter, and thereby bringing on the formation of ice on the sidewalk, the owner or occupier of the building or premises from which water shall be conducted into such gutter, shall immediately cause such ice to be removed, or shall have ashes, salt, sand or sawdust spread on such ice, so that passage on the sidewalk may be rendered reasonably safe. Any person violating this Section of the Chapter shall be deemed guilty of an ordinance violation.

It shall be the duty of every person, contractor or City Officer who shall make an excavation in any street or alley to cause poles of timber to be placed around such excavation in such manner as to prevent danger to persons, vehicles or animals crossing or passing along the same. Every person, contractor or City Officer failing to comply with this Section of the Chapter shall be deemed guilty of an ordinance violation.

Whoever shall in any place open to public view, mark, cut or draw, or make any obscene, lewd, or indecent word or sentence, design or figure shall be guilty of an ordinance violation.

It shall be unlawful for any person to use or occupy the City Park in the City of Jonesburg, Missouri, between dusk and dawn; provided, however, that the provisions of this Section do not apply to a person upon an emergency errand or passing through same without stopping on a direct route to the place of abode of such person, or to the use or occupancy thereof for group picnics, homecomings, and similar events, permission for which is previously given by the Mayor or Chief of Police.
