It shall be unlawful for juveniles under 18 years to be upon
the streets, alleys, parks, or other public places in the Township
of Quinton after the hour of 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. of the following
morning, unless accompanied by the parent or guardian.
The curfew established above does not apply if the juvenile
is:
A.Â
Engaged in, or traveling to and from, a business or occupation which
the laws of the State of New Jersey authorize a juvenile to perform;
B.Â
Engaged in an errand involving a medical emergency;
C.Â
Attending religious services, approved school activities, activities
sponsored by a religious or community-based organization, or other
cultural, education or social events or in direct transit to or from
such events; or
D.Â
When exercising First Amendment rights protected by the United States
Constitution.
It shall be unlawful for the parent, guardian, or any person
having the care, custody, or control of any child under the age of
18 years to permit or by inefficient control of such child, allow
the child to loiter upon streets, alleys, parks, or other public places
in the Township of Quinton after the hour of 9:00 p.m. until 6:00
a.m. of the following morning time, on any day of the week, including
Sunday, unless accompanied by the parent, guardian, or other adult
person having care, custody, or control of said child; and anyone
violating the provisions hereof shall be deemed a disorderly person
and, upon conviction, shall be subject to a fine of not more than
$50.

Any child under the age of 18 years found to be in violation of this
chapter shall be charged as a juvenile delinquent and shall be delinquent
and shall be subject to punishment as such.
B.Â
Any adult person violating the provisions of this chapter shall,
upon conviction, be liable to payment of a fine not more than $500
or to imprisonment for not more than 90 days or both.
