[HISTORY: Adopted by the Borough Council of the Borough of South Waverly at time of adoption of Code (see Ch. 1, General Provisions, Art. I) (Ch. 61 of the 1992 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
GENERAL REFERENCES
Uniform construction code — See Ch. 215.
A certain document, three copies of which are on file in the offices of the Borough of South Waverly, being marked and designated as the "BOCA National Fire Prevention Code/1990, Eighth Edition," as amended, as published by the Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc., shall be and is hereby adopted as the Fire Prevention Code of the Borough of South Waverly in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; for the control of buildings and structures as herein provided; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said BOCA National Fire Prevention Code are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part of hereof as if fully set out in this chapter, with the additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in § 256-2 of this chapter.
Certain sections of the BOCA National Fire Prevention Code are hereby revised as follows:
A. 
In Section F-100.1 (page 1, second line), insert "The Borough of South Waverly" in the space provided.
B. 
Section F-111.3 shall be amended to read as follows:
F-111.3 Violations and penalties: Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of the code or failing to comply with any order issued pursuant to any section thereof shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable by a fine of not more than $1,000 and costs of prosecution and, in default of payment of such fine and costs, by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than 30 days. Each day that a violation continues, after a service of notice as provided for in this code, shall be deemed a separate offense.
That the limits referred to in Section F-2601.2 of the BOCA National Fire Prevention Code in which the storage of explosives, ammunition and blasting agents is prohibited shall be established by resolution of the Borough Council.
