[HISTORY: Adopted by the City Council of the City of South Milwaukee 4-18-1955 by Ord. No. 519. Amendments noted where applicable.]
There is hereby established an Official Map of the City of South Milwaukee showing the location and width of streets, highways, parks and parkways as laid out, adopted and established. Such Official Map consists of eight sheets:
A. 
Sheet 1 of 8 showing the general plan for the entire corporate area of the City;
B. 
Sheet 2 of 8 showing the details of the plan in the NE 1/4, Section 3, T5N, R22E.;
C. 
Sheet 3 of 8 showing the details of the plan in the NW 1/, Section 2, T5N, R22E;
D. 
Sheet 4 of 8 showing the details of the plan in the SE 1/4 and part of the SW 1/4, Section 3, T5N, R22E;
E. 
Sheet 5 of 8 showing the details of the plan in the NE 1/4, Section 15, T5N, R22E;
F. 
Sheet 6 of 8 showing the details of the plan in the NW 1/4 and part of the NE 1/4, Section 14, T5N, R22E;
G. 
Sheet 7 of 8 showing the details of the plan in the NE 1/4, Section 14 and parts of the NW 1/4, Section 13, T5N, R22E; and
H. 
Sheet 8 of 8 showing the details of the plan in the NE 1/4, Section 2, T5N, R22E; all in the City of South Milwaukee.
No land subdivision plat shall be approved unless such plat conforms to the Official Map.
For the purpose of conserving the integrity of the Official Map, no building shall be erected or located within the bed or any street, highway or parkway shown on the Official Map unless a permit therefore shall first have been applied for and issued in accordance with Section 62.23(6)(d), (e), (f) and (g). The applicant for such permit shall submit to the Building Inspector with his application an accurate plot plan certified by a qualified surveyor showing the location of the proposed building with reference to any street, highway or parkway shown on the Official Map.
The Common Council may, whenever and as often as it may deem it for the public interest and after a public hearing as provided in Section 62.23(6)(b), change or add to the Official Map of the City so as to establish the exterior lines of planned new streets, highways and parkways or to widen, narrow, extend or close existing streets, highways or parkways.
A. 
The Official Map of the City of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as adopted by Ordinance No. 519, is hereby amended by the removal therefrom of all that part of the proposed street known as Madison Avenue which lies west of 18th Avenue.

B. 
The Official Map of the City of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as adopted by Ordinance No. 519, is hereby amended by the changing of the name of the street shown thereon as Mackinac Avenue North to 7th Avenue.

C. 
The Official Map of the City of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as adopted by Ordinance No. 519, is hereby amended by the removal therefrom of the proposed north-south street which runs from College Avenue south 280 feet, the center line of which is approximately 350 feet east of the center line of North Chicago Avenue, and further by the addition of a cul-de-sac with a radius of 50 feet at the west end of the proposed east-west street which intersects the above described proposed north-south street at a point 280 feet south of College Avenue.

D. 
The Official Map of the City of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as adopted by Ordinance No. 519, is hereby amended in the northeast and northwest quarters of Section 3 by the removal of all of the proposed Spruce Court between the west line of Willow Lane and east line of Nicholson Avenue.

E. 
The Official Map of the City of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as adopted by Ordinance No. 519, is hereby amended in the northeast and northwest quarters of Section 3 by the removal therefrom of a portion of the proposed north-south street whose center line is parallel to and located 423 feet east of the center line of Nicholson Avenue; the portion removed being from the proposed Spruce Court north to the south line of the proposed east-west street whose center line lies 1,010 feet south of the center line of College Avenue.

F. 
The Official Map of the City of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as adopted by Ordinance No. 519, is hereby amended in the northeast and northwest quarters of Section 3 by the addition thereto of a portion of Willow Lane from Spruce Court to the north, said street right-of-way being 66 feet in width, the center line of which is described:
Commencing at the intersection of the center lines of Spruce Court and Willow Lane then north 44 degrees 27'38" east 190.46 feet to a point of curve; thence northeasterly on a curved line (whose center lies to the northwest, having a radius of 250.00 feet with a long chord of 196.65 feet, bearing north 21 degrees 18'01" east) a distance of 202.11 feet to a point of tangency; thence north 1 degree 51'36" west on a line parallel to the center line of said Nicholson Avenue 139.68 feet to the center line of a proposed east-west street now shown on the Official Map with its center line 1,010 feet plus or minus south of the center line of College Avenue.

G. 
The Official Map of the City of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as adopted by Ordinance No. 519, is hereby amended in the northeast and northwest quarters of Section 3 by the addition thereto of an eastwest street from Nicholson Avenue to the north-south street whose center line is parallel to and 423 feet east of the center line of Nicholson Avenue, said street right-of-way being 66 feet in width, the center line of which is described as follows:
Commencing at a point in the center line of Nicholson Avenue 1,034.95 feet south of the north line of Northwest 1/4, Section 3, T5N, R22E, thence east parallel to the north line of said 1/4, Section 3, 187.12 feet to a point on the easterly line of said Northwest 1/4; thence east parallel to the north line of Northeast 1/4, Section 3, 52.88 feet to a point, thence northeasterly 110 feet more or less on a curve of three-hundred-fifty-foot radius, whose center lies to the north, to a point of reversed curve; then easterly 110 feet more or less on a curve of three-hundred-fifty-foot radius whose center lies to the south, to a tangent intersection with the center line of a proposed east-west street now shown on the Official Map with its center line 1,010 feet plus or minus south of the center line of College Avenue.

H. 
The Official Map of the City of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as adopted by Ordinance No. 519, is hereby amended in the Northeast and Northwest quarters of Section 3 by a change in the location of Poplar Avenue at its western terminus, which is the proposed Willow Lane, the said Poplar Avenue street right-of-way being 66 feet in width, the center line of which is described as follows:
Commencing at a point on the center line of Poplar Avenue at the west line of Parkway Heights Subdivision, said point being 465.76 feet west of the intersection of the center line of Hemlock Court and Poplar Avenue, running thence west along the south line of the North of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 3, T5N, R22E, to a point which is 880 feet more or less east of the center line of Nicholson Avenue, thence northwesterly 150 feet more or less on a curve of one-hundred-ninety-five-foot radius (whose center lies to the north) to an intersection with the east line of the proposed Willow Lane as described in Section 3 above.

I. 
The Official Map of the City of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as adopted by Ordinance No. 519, is hereby amended by removal therefrom of all of the proposed alley shown 120 feet east of and parallel to South Chicago Avenue running from the south City limits north to a point 134 feet south of the south line of Columbia Avenue.

J. 
The Official Map of the City of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as adopted by Ordinance No. 519, is hereby amended in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 3 by the removal therefrom of the north-south pedestrian way between the north line of Spruce Court and the south line of Poplar Avenue.

K. 
The Official Map of the City of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as adopted by Ordinance No. 519, is hereby amended by the removal therefrom of the proposed street running from one-half block north of the intersection of 12th Avenue and Monroe Avenue in a northwesterly direction to a point one-half block north of the intersection of 13th Avenue and Missouri Avenue.

L. 
The Official Map of the City of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as adopted by Ordinance No. 519, is hereby amended by the addition thereto of an east-west street running from Hemlock Court at a point 450 feet north of Poplar Avenue east approximately 500 feet to the next north-south street; by the addition of a cul-de-sac with a radius of 650 feet at the south end of a two-hundred-foot north-south street running south from the easterly intersection referred to above; by the removal of a pedestrian way running northeasterly from a point in the easterly intersection hereinbefore referred to.

M. 
The Official Map of the City of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as adopted by Ordinance No. 519, is hereby amended by the changing of the name of that portion of the street shown thereon as 17th Avenue between Elm Avenue and the north line of Parkway Heights Subdivision to Parkway Drive.

N. 
The Official Map of the City of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as adopted by Ordinance No. 519, is hereby amended by the removal therefrom of that portion of the proposed street known as Carrington Avenue which lies between the east line of Kirkwood Avenue and the west line of Emerson Avenue.

O. 
The Official Map of the City of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as adopted by Ordinance No. 519, is hereby amended by the change from its location as shown on said Official Map to one lying 60 feet east thereof, of all that portion of the future Emerson Avenue lying between Badger Avenue and College Avenue, all within the Northeast 1/4 of Section 2, T5N, R22E, in the City of South Milwaukee.

The Official Map of the City of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as adopted by Ordinance No. 519, is hereby amended by the change from its location as shown on said Official Map to one lying 35 feet south thereof, of all that portion of the future Carroll Avenue lying between Emerson Avenue and Brookdale Drive, all within the Northeast 1/4, Section 2, T5N, R22E, in the City of South Milwaukee.

The Official Map of the City of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as adopted by Ordinance No. 519, is hereby amended in the Northwest 1/4 of Section 2, T5N, R22E, in the City of South Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin by the removal of a portion of the proposed 13th Avenue located in the Oak Creek Parkway lands from the Oak Creek Parkway Drive northerly to the north boundary of the Oak Creek Parkway lands according to the plat attached and incorporated herein by reference.

Section 13.045 of the Municipal Code of the City of South Milwaukee is hereby amended by removing the proposed extension of Willow Lane and Carroll Avenue north of Tamarack Street which is more specifically described as follows:
The proposed extension of Willow Lane and Carroll Avenue in the area south of College Avenue and east of Nicholson Avenue on lands owned by the State of Wisconsin.

Section 13.045 of the Municipal Code of the City of South Milwaukee is hereby amended by removing the proposed extension of Edgewood Avenue east of 3rd Avenue which is more specifically described as lands located in the Northwest 1/4 Section 13 T5N R22E.

The Official Map of the City of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as adopted by Ordinance No. 519, is hereby amended in the Northwest 1/4 Section 14, T5N, R22E by the removal therefrom of all that part of the proposed street known as Williams Avenue which lies between Russet Lane and North Chicago Avenue.

The official Map of the City of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as adopted by Ordinance No. 519, is hereby amended in the Northwest 1/4, Section 14, T5N, R22E, by the extension of the centerline of Williams Avenue to a point 749 feet east of South Chicago Avenue, then to a point 322.4 feet south, ending in a cul-de-sac with a forty-five-foot radius. The right-of-way width shall be 66 feet divided equally along the centerline, except as otherwise shown on the drawing on file in the office of the City Engineer dated December 11, 2000.

The Official Map of the City of south Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as adopted by Ordinance No. 519, is hereby amended in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 15, Town 5 North, Range 22 East, pursuant to the drawing on file in the office of the City Engineer dated June 21, 2005, as described as follows:

(1) 
18th Avenue end in a cul-de-sac north of Kristine Lane when designed and platted in the future.
(2) 
18th Avenue south of Drexel Boulevard be renamed to Sanctuary Drive and be dedicated and constructed as a cul-de-sac pursuant to Certified Survey Map No. 7716 for the Sanctuary Condominiums, approved by Resolution No. 05-32.
(3) 
Columbia Avenue end in a cul-de-sac approximately 500 feet west of 1623 Columbia Avenue, to be designed and platted in the future.
(4) 
Blake and Sherman Avenues join with a north-south road (loop) per plat of Blakewood Estates Subdivision.
(5) 
A cul-de-sac be constructed south of Blake Avenue to be named Blake Court pursuant to plat of Blakewood Estates Subdivision.
XX. 
The Official Map of the City of South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as adopted by Ordinance No. 519, is hereby amended in the Northeast 1/4 of Section 15, Town 5 North, Range 22 East, as shown on the drawing on file in the office of the City Engineer dated April 19, 2006, entitled Willow Grove Subdivision Exhibit.
Immediately upon the adoption of this ordinance, the City Clerk shall file with the Register of Deeds of Milwaukee County a certificate showing that the City of South Milwaukee has established an Official Map and shall do likewise as to any changes or additions.
Any person, firm or corporation who violates, disobeys, neglects, omits or refuses to comply with, or who resists the enforcement of any provision of this ordinance, shall forfeit not less than $1 nor more than $200 and the cost of prosecution, and in default of payment of forfeiture and costs, shall be imprisoned in the County Jail of Milwaukee County until the payment of such forfeiture and costs of prosecution, but not more than 30 days for each violation, and every day of violation shall constitute a separate offense.
The various parts of this ordinance are declared to be severable and should any part in question and shall not affect the remainder of the ordinance.
