GENERAL REFERENCES
Peddling and soliciting — See Ch. 186.
The provisions of this section shall apply to Town parks and designated recreational areas located in the Town of Woodbury.
A. 
Except where posted, or unless a permit is obtained from the Park and Recreation Commission, no person shall enter or remain in any park or designated recreational area between 1/2 hour after sunset and 1/2 hour before sunrise.
B. 
No vehicle shall be driven at any rate of speed greater than 10 miles per hour unless otherwise posted on any roads, paths or trails provided for such travel.
C. 
No person shall drive or park any vehicle except in areas provided for such purposes.
D. 
No vehicles may be left in any park or designated recreational area overnight unless a permit is obtained from the Park and Recreation Director. Vehicles which are disabled must be removed within two working days. This does not apply to vehicles used in connection with the maintenance of park land and designated recreational areas.

E. 
No snowmobiles or motorized vehicles (this includes but is not limited to all-terrain vehicles, golf carts, mopeds, and motorized bikes) are permitted to be operated on park land and designated recreational areas. This excludes any motorized vehicle used in connection with the maintenance of Town park land and recreational areas and Town-leased farming areas.
F. 
Swimming shall be permitted only in such bodies of water as may be designated by the Park and Recreation Commission. There shall be no dressing or undressing except in areas designated for such purpose.
G. 
The following activities are prohibited in all parks and recreational facilities:
(1) 
Picking flowers or foliage; cutting, breaking or digging up any trees, shrubs, plants, grass, turf; cutting, carving, painting, marking, nailing or attaching to any tree, stone, fence, wall or structure any bill, advertisement or inscription whatsoever;
(2) 
Disturbing or injuring any animal within any park or recreational facility;
(3) 
Disposing of garbage or litter, except in designated containers or areas;
(4) 
Carrying or discharging any firearms;
(5) 
Flying of any combustible-powered model airplanes;
(6) 
Throwing or dropping of any object from Orenaug Park Tower or from any structure located on park land or recreational areas.
H. 
No person shall light kindling or use any fire in any park or designated recreational areas unless properly authorized. All fires must be extinguished after use.
I. 
No person shall drink or consume any alcoholic beverage in any park or recreational area or possess or bring into any park or designated recreational area with the intent to drink or consume said alcoholic beverage, unless a permit is obtained from the Park and Recreation Commission.
J. 
No person shall expose any article or item for sale in any park or designated recreational area unless a permit is received from the Park and Recreation Commission.
K. 
No person shall enter a park and/or designated recreational area for the purpose of vending or selling food without obtaining a permit from the Selectman's office.
L. 
No person shall smoke in any park or designated recreational area.

The Town shall not be liable for the loss of property or damage to property or persons using the parks and designated recreational areas.
A. 
Any person violating any provision of this chapter may be ejected by any police officer.

B. 
Any and all persons who shall violate any provision of this chapter or who shall aid, assist or encourage the violation thereof shall be subject to a fine not to exceed $100 for each offense. Said fine shall be paid in person or by mail to the Town of Woodbury. Each violation shall be considered a separate offense.
