The elected City Attorney shall, at the direction of the Mayor,
draft all Mayoral proclamations. The elected City Attorney shall be
paid a salary of $100 per year for such services. In the event that
the office is vacant, the City may contract for such services.

All other legal services shall be procured through a contractual
arrangement with one or more legal service providers.

The City Council expressly declares that any costs or fees generated
by the work of any attorney performing work for the City shall not
be and are not a basis for the compensation.

It shall be the responsibility of the City Attorney to prepare
a redline copy of any ordinance, showing changes to language in the
City Municipal Code.
