This article is enacted pursuant to the authority of Village Law § 11-1116 and the Municipal Home Rule Law § 10.
A. 
The Board of Trustees may cut off and discontinue the supply of water to a user, including, but not limited to, residential, industrial and commercial users, where the water rents of a user remain unpaid and delinquent at the expiration of 60 days after the date when they were due to be paid without penalty.
B. 
At least 30 days prior to cutting off and discontinuing water service to a user, the Board of Trustees shall cause written notice of such action to be served upon the user and upon the owner of the property served if not the same as the user.
C. 
All costs associated with cutting off and discontinuing service, including any cost of serving written notice as required by § 154-2B shall be paid by the user prior to water service being restored.
