No
person shall install, or cause to be installed, dewatering equipment
to permit water to be discharged into surface waters or wetlands of
the Town of Southampton from a swimming pool or other structure or
area, or due to groundwater intrusion during construction of a swimming
pool or any other structure, unless authorized by a permit issued
by the Trustees. Applications for permits will not be considered unless
the installation is proposed on a temporary basis only, during construction
or structural repair. The application shall state the anticipated
duration of any such construction or structural repair.
B.Â
No
person shall use, or cause to be used, circulating pumps or wells
to cleanse shellfish in holding tanks, or tanks used to hold clams,
lobsters or fish on a temporary basis prior to sale, unless authorized
by a permit issued by the Trustees.
C.Â
Applications
under this article shall be submitted in the name of, and shall be
signed by, the owner of the property to be benefited. The application
fee shall be established by resolution duly adopted by the Board of
Trustees.
