A. 
Any and all garbage, refuse, waste materials, and recyclable materials stored out of doors shall be stored only in watertight, odor-tight and rodent-proof containers with the tight covers securely in place.
B. 
Containers must be stored entirely on private property and not on any Village street, sidewalk or right-of-way.
C. 
Containers, when placed at curbside or streetside for collection, shall not be in the street and shall be placed on the curb or at the edge of the street adjoining such premises.
D. 
No container shall be placed out for collection prior to 3:00 p.m. the day before collection, and no container may be allowed to remain after 12:00 midnight the day of collection.
The Village operates green waste collection programs between April 1 and November 30, as follows:
A. 
Green waste will consist of the following items:
(1) 
Lawn clippings.
(2) 
Leaves.
(3) 
Tree branches (under three inches in diameter).
B. 
Green waste will be collected on Fridays and must be at streetside prior to 6:00 a.m.
C. 
Lawn clippings and leaves must be bagged in biodegradable bags only between April 1 and September 15. Bags shall contain only green waste with no garbage, animal waste, sticks, rocks, dirt or flower pots.
D. 
Leaves and lawn clippings may be placed curbside or streetside in bulk (no bags) from September 16 through November 30.
E. 
Branches placed out for collection must be no longer than four feet and bundled. Branches can be placed any time during the green waste removal operations period of April 1 through November 30.
F. 
Any and all items placed out for collection must be placed and arranged in a manageable manner. If, in the opinion of the Village Street Superintendent, items are not placed and arranged in a manageable manner, items will not be collected until guidelines are met.
Bulk household may be placed out per §58-4, Waste collection contractor.
It is the intent of this section to present information and specifications, subject to change from time to time, pertaining to the Town-wide contractor for garbage removal and bulk household waste removal. This section may be modified from time to time, and at any time, by the Village Board by resolution at any regular or special meeting of the Village Board. Items include, but are not limited to:
A. 
Name and phone number of waste collection contractor.
B. 
Collection days by street.
C. 
Holiday schedule.
D. 
Additional information.
Any person committing an offense against any provision of this article shall be guilty of a violation punishable by a fine not exceeding $250 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days or by both such fine and imprisonment. The continuation of an offense against the provisions of this article shall constitute, for each day the offense is continued, a separate and distinct offense hereunder.
