It shall be unlawful for any person to stand or park a motor
vehicle or vehicle trailer upon the public streets, roads or shoulders
thereof where signs have been erected restricting or prohibiting standing
or parking, or to stand or park a motor vehicle contrary to the instructions
of any peace officer.
In any prosecution under this article, it shall be presumed
that the registered owner of the motor vehicle or vehicle trailer
stood or parked the vehicle in violation of this article upon proof
that the vehicle was standing or parking in violation of this article.
Any vehicle parked in violation of this article which shall
cause a hazard to traffic or persons shall be removed and stored at
the expense of the owner upon the direction of any peace officer.
Any person violating this article shall be guilty of a misdemeanor
and shall be punished by a fine of not more than $100 or imprisonment
not more than 30 days, or both such fine and imprisonment, in the
discretion of the court.
